Good to see a bi plane leading the way

https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2021/mar/18/will-a-british-bioelectric-hybrid-plane-really-take-off

It was early in the 20th Century that a War Department civil servant said there was no future in the monoplane

He has finally been proved correct:)

The wing is also designed with future technologies in mind. Faradair says the space between each wing would be the perfect place to locate more efficient batteries of the future, with the additional benefit of natural cooling from the passing air.

What about the additional benefit of aerodynamic drag with batteries sticking out in the airflow…

The wing reminds me of a US start-up, which was a biplane, with the wings curling round. I don’t know if an example ever flew, but it was getting investors.
But I can remember reading about the development of the transistor, which it was claimed would replace valves, and I didn’t believe it.

Triplane?

Nine years from “good idea” to production? Give me a break. Another device to throw stardust in investors’ eyes.
