Yes, there must be a tie up. I received 5 photographs of the finished article. That said, like you, I am really satisfied with the end result, level of detail, and now need to go buy another plane, in order that I can get another scale model made…
If it was sent from the Phillipines and has a similar looking pedestal, then I suspect they were acting as an agent for Winston Uy.
It may then be cheaper to contact them directly.
They like to have square on side photos plus a few assorted others to show the details.
That model of mine was 140.00 shipped. Add to that the Parcel Force, UK customs duty of 40.00, all in.
Wingspan is 18". All to scale I believe.
I also have an R/C model of the Chipmunk I owned, built by a modeller a few years ago, from plan and photographs I supplied, plus access to the plane. Also took him for a few flights.
It is an eight scale I think, and hangs form the ceiling in my sons bedroom….My wife just looks at me by the way!!!!!! Eyes rolling…..
