How about this for an aviator's address?

There's a village in Cheshire, near Nantwich, called 'Coole Pilate'.

How cool(e) it would be to have a strip there!

Barton is my spiritual home.

You would need a car plate P1LOT to go with that

Seen once or twice in my local area - this taken actually in the village. Not sure but think the guy is a nautical man.

Regret no current medical

That one would have cost way more than the car.

I know of 1FLY and FLY1 and one of those, ex Freddie Laker, is widely rumoured to have sold for £500k.

Plates have really gone up in cost. Most of the 1930s ones i.e. AAANNN or NNNAAA (N = numeric, A=alphabetic) are 4 figures, or more.

OTOH you can still pick up funny ones (well, funny to pilots ) like C4VOK for the basic £200 from the DVLA, though C4VOK is gone.

In Perth a guy had a number plate: "IM GRUMPY"...his wife's plate was "GRUMPIER".....think they could have both been pilots! :)

Then there was a guy I worked with who had "AWESOME".....pilot wannabe!
