Advice needed to invest in an airplane!

Hi again,

Thanks for responding to our questions.

ABCD – have a read of this

Trust me I have read that website many times. There is actually a great article about TMB 850 written as well. (It was one of the aircrafts we where considering, but operating cost is to much)

In general yes but it could be related to some legal obstacles in particular country. My aircraft is owned by company owned by me and it’s rented out to me or to anybody else I (as company owner) decide to rent it out. No problems in Croatia as long as all taxes are paid.

This is very interesting, would you explain how this setup works:
The way I understand it is that you have started a company that rents our your aircraft!! is that a type of management company.

Thanks

on a straight fuel burn perhaps, but factor in maintenance, insurance, and then look at a fair comparison, I think not.

I have operated an A36 Bonanza for 1000+ hours and a Jetprop for 1000+ hours.

Fuel costs for JP are about £80 p/hr which is maybe a bit less than a Bonanza A36 ?

Maintenance costs are almost identical.

Insurance for similar value aircraft will be the same.

Hangerage is the same.

The difference is setting aside a provision for engine overhaul say around £40 p/hr.

I agree with you, a Jetprop (or any aircraft) is not one to operate on a tight budget.
