Actually old photos, we had to move the Yak into another similar hangar, bigger but less privacy. Incidentaly in the second photo we had to change the battery of the Jag in the hangar, which broke down on the way to a club weekend.
I think in this contaxt „E-class“ refers to the German Aircraft registration scheme. As there first Letter after der “D-” says something about it’s Weight (or it’s category) – WIKI Link
All Single Engine Aircrafts below 2.000kg are registered as D-Exxx (SE above 2.000kg would be D-Fxxx, TMG’s haveD-Kxxx, UL’s have D-Mxxx and so on)
So a lot of Germans call SEP’s “ECHO Klasse” (ECHO class)
BTW: very nice Yak :)

Achimha,Just out of curiosity, how is power supply arranged in those circular hangars? If you would like to have cable connected for heating or similar?
the power cable is hanging down from the top (roof frame etc) to the center of the turntable so like this you can plug in and when the “table” rotates there is now problem with the cable
What stops someone leaving the turntable rotating and twisting the mains cable off?

To stop a fool there are no definitive means. But to stop the turntable there is this little thing they call Endlaufschalter East ot the Rhine Sorry, English translation not available right now.
@Cobalt: broad grin! SO to the point!

by the “flick” of your finger in our hangar there are 2 pushswitches one for left and one for right turn and when ur finger is off the switch it stops amazing
the “drive” for the turntable is NOT in the middle so there is no issue with the cable here is a example of a “upper” drive in our hanger the driver etc is all below with full flat turntable as hanger was build new with this in mind so concrete foundation was made with this in mind and all drive etc is sub merched so like this no “ramp” needed like to the upper version
erched
Limit switch?

Virtually all hangars built in Germany these days are of the carousel type.
(A) 23m in diameter, approx. 415 square meters, for 6 E-type aircraft, € 220.000 netThat’s steep. Payback is distant. What kind of fees do you have to pay for hangarage in Germany?
(B) 24m in diameter, approx. 450 square meters, for 8 E-type aircraft, € 240.000 net
