Yeah, I mean you must use some kind of “tool” to plan an IFR flight, be it autorouter, Rocketroute, or whatever (it’s not possible without these days). And they all throw out the flight log in the process. So what would you use a blank paper for for these days? I know, flight training tends to be done “the old way”, and in the VFR case, it might make some sense to start with a blank form, but in the IFR case, it just doesn’t.
