This one is coming up in the US. Apparently there was a batch made in 2018 with bad seals. The code to look for is on the case, as “2-B”
They made 2000 of them in November, 2018. The oil leak is from the seam of the metal can. No reports of one actually coming apart.
Just checked the last remaining in the box I bought: “2017-B”
Someone (posting here also) reported seeing this on a French domestic site, so this is real.
Reading elsewhere, it’s been suggested that some sort of sealant is used on a folded joint and maybe that didn’t work.
