And can one buy them? One could obviously fabricate it.
This is to provide cooling air for the B&C backup alternator.
The other end – the cooling shroud for the high pressure fuel pump – is easier, but mine will be a custom fabricated item to fit the alternator
You see those a lot on the engine cooling baffles, but I think they’re fabricated for the job. Whomever is fabricating your alternator shroud can make up that cooling air hose bulkhead fitting in 15 minutes.
I would expect a competent tech to tackle that project in a few hours. Typically I don’t find those fittings in the IPC, but part of the hole assembly.

One thing I wondered was whether there is likely to be water going down these cooling hoses.
For example the alternator cooling air inlet is right at the front of the engine so is bound to get whatever rain is coming in
It looks like a really bad idea but hey it got certified!
The cooling air inlet proposed above will actually be on the rear engine baffle so relatively a lot more protected. It will be like this
