Why pitot covers are important

Picture taken at my flying school a while ago...

That's funny. Reminds me of trying to get into a sleeping bag - one hell of a squeeze.

Here's a pitot cover!

Yes; getting the system blocked by creepy crawlies is a common problem.

I put in the covers after every landing even if stopping for only an hour or two.

Somebody “borrowed” my pitot cover. Any recomendation where I can by a replacement for TB20?

This one looks about right for the right-angle pitot tube we have on the TB20s.

there are also insects blocking static lines …
some kind of protection for the static ports is worthwhile even in a hangar
