Low RPM Engines - Nearly Flat Torque 'Must Have for Helicopters'

There used to be many single cylinder paraffin engines on Norwegian fishing boats. They were very cheap around 1970.
I looked at one for sale in Scotland.
(Stationary piston – the rest of the engine and the boat moved up and down.) :-)
