Yes. The graph I posted is the sum of the fixed annual costs and the running (per hour) annual costs.
Yes but for each respondent did you divide total cost by hours per Year?
You can work out how much someone has spent on the flying part, from e.g. here. We will need another thread for 2017
For example if I do 150hrs then I have burnt some 1500USG or 6000 litres so the fuel spend was roughly €10k on avgas.
The maintenance costs will vary according to the plane and how you manage it. A TB20 on Part 91 should cost about 1/3 of an EASA-reg SR22 done by a Part M company… especially some of them But 5k-10k is probably the EASA-reg average.
It’s not a cheap hobby if you use GA to see places well away from the circuit
So Peter, what is your total spend and hours?
That’s about it, plus landing fees, plus the one-offs like TKS.
I don’t add it up. All the time I can afford it, have an airport to operate from and have a medical, I will carry on.
What is yours?

I posted it earlier in the thread. I think it is interesting how close some of the hourly costs are for types that seem dissimilar.
I can’t see it, Jason.
First post in this thread is “JasonC 09-Dec-17 22:35”.
Maybe in some other thread?
