I have some pleasant news:
I tried to program that duff flash card in the SDDR31 USB programmer and, when it failed, it popped up a message asking if I want to report the problem to Honeywell.
I thought... what? This SDDR31 product has been dead more than 10 years. Back then, they offloaded the whole thing to someone called Loren Hoffman who seemingly had a stock of these things. No way is anybody going to get that email, never mind respond to it.
Well, I was wrong. I got a reply from the Honeywell database dept and when I asked if I can have (or buy) a new card even though I don't have a card subscription (mine is just the $400 download one), they are sending me a new flash card!
