Here’s an interesting review/test of the 700 in the Piper Flyer magazine. This particular aircraft is UK based and so is the article writer. It won the London to Sydney race a couple of years ago, averaging 270kts, beating a turbine King Air even. Like the article says, even though the 700 guzzles well over 40gph at turbine speeds, it still works out a lot cheaper than having a turbine twin, even in Europe. Probably on par with having a turbine single.
Anyway, it’s a good read.
