The longest day of a UK summer

The radar pic says it all

But, looking on the bright side, no lightning

and no TS forecast

EGKK 200502Z 2006/2112 21010KT 9999 -RA BKN010 TEMPO 2006/2011 3000 RADZ BKN004 TEMPO 2011/2015 6000 BECMG 2015/2018 NSW SCT020 PROB30 TEMPO 2023/2107 8000

so one could probably fly through this, below the 0C level.

Btw, the UK still includes Scotland! Where it’s fine today….

I thought the longest day is Thursday 25th. lol

United Kingdom

Facebook says it is today, as does Justine, so that’s good enough for me

I think today is Scotland’s revenge for 100 years of getting the same

Typical southerner, nothing exists north of the Watford Gap :-) :-)

I’m looking at a dry settled day with good enough visibility to see all seven kingdoms from the top of Snaefell.

Andreas IOM

Didn’t break out on top this morning until FL300. But ELLX is sunny and pleasant…

EGTK Oxford

In between layers at 4000 feet, precip.

Fun at Bournemouth with the localiser going US 8nm from touchdown ;-)

EGTF, LFTF

On way back had cloud to FL300. Interestingly almost no turbulence and an icing layer at FL160.

EGTK Oxford

It’s been a wild June – like this a lot of the time
