Oops, I checked it again. It’s 12h VFR and 6h IFR. There is a recent change in GEN1.2.4.1.2 concerning the addresses required which ar apparently doesn’t have yet.
I have flown there VFR several times and was always treated well. Only issue on one occasion was the FPL notice period, which was inside the -then – 24 hours and it got rejected. Now that it’s apparently down to 12 hours that shouldn’t be a much of a problem anymore.
Morocco is quite easy. The are joined-up and quite flexible. Don’t feel that the VFR routes are mandatory; a bit ofneotiation and you can prett much get where you want. Western Sahara takes a bit more coordination up front but again it can be done. Nothing beats walking into the ARO and speaking directl with the friendly flight planning chaps.
