Luxembourg ELLX as a GA destination

Parking 5.00 per day

Nitpick… but wasn’t that for two days, maybe something like 24h and one minute?

I’ll drop them an email at some point and feed anything back.

What hotels are good, anyone got any recommendations on booking.com with free canx?

Sofitel is the best 5star nicely positioned in the city center, but budget hotels I have no clue. There isn’t much choice anyway.

Isn’t it the case that the BAC handling fee is waived if P5 is used? I have this memorized from somewhere but not sure. It’s my home base so I never needed to know 😅

When I asked about them providing me external starting power on P5, they said it would cost the handling fee (as if I were not based and had used P2) PLUS the external power fee from their price list. I ended up finding nice hangar neighbour that provided the external power friendily and not using BAC.

But that was a long time ago, it may have changed.

We went pre-covid to ibis Styles Luxembourg Centre Gare. Not fancy by any means but does the job.
I liked the city but YMMV. It is definitely more of a quiet kind of city. Count on one day, two max.

Reading this thread, the airport management looks really bad.

Thanks for the suggestions. I’ll check booking.com for them later.

I’ve got a quote back for flying on the Friday, returning on a Sunday.

Admin Fee: 18.00
PPR Fees 30.00
Landing Fee: 7.00
Take-off Fee 0.00
Parking Fee 5.00
Pax Fee 10.25
BAC Fee 125.00
Sunday Surcharge: 62.50

257.75 EURO

But then they’ve added water, toilet and what not and it comes to 744.55 EURO. Lmao! Anyone else had this sort of qoute back?

Can you post a copy of the quotation? Possibly, these were all optional items?

I now have this quote;

Very typical that handling and BAC fee makes the bill expensive. Without it, ELLX would be quite reasonable, even if you still had to pay the PPR fee.
