Yes, but you also need a different code to get from landside into the GA-Centre, which is not mentioned inside the building.

My friend is moving to the Soldermalm region, so presume Bromma is the easiest option? Does anyone know the costs of such airfield?

ESSA would be a cool one for the logbook? What’s the latest prices? JetA1 is my choice of fuel in a DA40D ;)

Visited Bromma in a DA40 a few years back and it was all very friendly and easy. We contacted the airport ops and got one of their parking slots, so no handling. Friendly lady escorted us airside to/from the aircraft. It’s super convenient for the city.

Was advised it could be expensive, but that might just be the handling as it wasn’t my experience. Either that or we got lucky.

What was the charge for that? When I last checked – which admittedly was several years ago, just after they’ve thrown out all based GA and flight schools – the airport charged almost as much for this escort as the handling company (Grafair) charged.

Maybe it was an escort with benefits 😊

A happy ending to the flight

Okay this sounds good, do you have contact details or is it in the AIP?

This is how every airport should be.

Next question for anyone would be, when can you fly there non-FIKI? March onwards or very restrictive?

For a reasonable price for handling use preferably Grafair, or Indutriflyg, but not the airport themselves, their handling prices are calibrated for jets.

From May is fairly safe, OVC don’t usually sit for days on end like now. March april you can still have ice in layers in an OVC.
But it’s not the worst place to get stuck in for an extra day or two.

Shame, as the weather right now looks great.

I may try April, if not August as I want to go some places cooler in August rather than Spain/Mainland Europe.
