Mid March 2015 Lunch?

What about Bordeaux Saucats on Saturday? @Bordeaux_Jim organises English breakfast.

If they had Customs at Saucats… Otherwise, for a UK pilot, it is ~5 hrs each way.

I would happily pop down to LFAT on Saturday.

Weather looks difficult on Saturday being VFR, so I probably won’t make it.
We planned on Alderney last Wednesday; GAR’s filed, and cancelled, with Alderney giving low vis all morning. Perhaps I need and IR, and IR capable plane!

I am canceling Bordeaux Saucats tomorrow. But what about Dinard or Le Touquet Sunday?

LFPT, LFPN

I would do Le Touquet tomorrow, but it isn’t 100% for sure because there is something I need to check on the aircraft and I won’t drive there till tomorrow morning.

The wx looks OK though potentially ILS wx

Today was another “great value” trip and it was even better to meet some nice people

Lined up at Shoreham. Looking somewhat murky

On top at 4500ft. Lowest temp seen was -2C and ~1mm of ice was picked up

At FL080

Popping out underneath and breaking off the ILS to the right for a LH circuit to 31

Turning to final, 31

On the way back, not a lot going on

Back on top is always nice

Back at FL070. Lille handed up to London Control quite soon. They asked if I wanted a DCT Shoreham or the short water crossing. Nice! I went for the latter, DCT LYD as per the SID.

Later they said FL070 will put us OCAS so we either have to climb to FL080 or get handed to the FIR (London Info). Obviously I went for the FL080 option

“Winter” flying makes for nice pics

About to go back down through it. Tops about 4000ft, bases about 2500ft, +3C above the cloud, lowest temp in the cloud was -1C but I forgot to turn on the prop TKS!

Underneath

Final 02

With a PC12 waiting, one just cannot afford to do a crap landing

A great use of an IR and great to meet up with Aviathor and Michael, plus two Dutch pilots who didn’t know about EuroGA (but will do very soon)
