Meet-up Wednesday 13th May?

That is pretty cool Peter. Not dissimilar to a picture taken from the TB10 on one of my African flights. Sorry for the picture quality. Sorry for the thread drift.

Sometimes there’s not much to see anyway. This was one of the few moments I was able to take the foggles off in the 2 weeks in Arizona (FAA IR)

although I would say that is pretty amazing scenery too…

Enjoyed the pictures. The pancakes have made me hungry. I rather like the look of that Robin. While I flew both in the morning and the afternoon, I did not have the pleasure of admiring the views. Foggles on at 300 ft and foggles off at 1D but at least I have a nice freshly signed off revalidation and hopefully after today I can send in all the paper work to get my JAR converted to EASA.

Lydd, FL070

We got a very late handover to Lille and then could not get a word in edgeways due to the radio calls; eventually got in and got a -2000fpm descent all the way to the runway and a handover to LFAT tower.

A fair number of arrivals already (1000Z)

Busy beach

One can’t resist one of these… thankfully it’s a trip one doesn’t do every day. The beer was my passenger

Very “Le Touquet”

An unusual plane, with a very unusual sound too

LYD1Y departure, straight out to LYD VOR, climbing to FL080. Oddly enough we got a handover straight to London Control, not to Lille which is the normal thing

Beachy Head, still at FL080

Then a -400fpm descent all the way to Shoreham and a left base to 20.

Damn, sorry, Bloomer, I never knew! I was watching the wingtips, most likely… I will post a few obligatory pics later

Did you have a nice time in L2K Peter? I waved to you as you taxi’d past but you just ignored me……..

Oh well, maybe, but with a bottle of wine time travel is possible

The notam was from this morning but it is now gone (as it should be, being past 1600Z now) and Lille offered me the ILS on the way in (probably not knowing about it). The signals worked OK although since I was doing a visual onto 13 I didn’t check the ident.
