UK danger areas D036 D037 D038 D039 D040 reduced upper limit, and when active?

They seem to have been lowered to FL100 and any higher is by notam.

EG_Circ_2022_Y_005_en_pdf

However, I cannot see any mention of these being inactive at weekends, as insisted on here. Where would a timetable be listed?

As the PDF suggests, I phoned Plymouth Military Radar, on 01752-557809 and… nobody is answering the phone

Can one fly the VFR route from St Catherine point to Cherbourg while talking to Lodnon Info or Deauville (no DACS/DAIS)

Paris/Essex, France/UK, United Kingdom

I did not think that existed anymore? Since well before 2018??

Fair enough. It’s not exactly an interesting document. But the PDF is the EXACT answer to your question.

The active hours are all listed in that document.

For convenience :
D36: Hours: Mon-Thu 0800-1700 (0700-1600), Fri 0800-1400 (0700-1300); and as activated by NOTAM.
D37: Hours: Mon-Thu 0800-1700 (0700-1600), Fri 0800-1400 (0700-1300); and as activated by NOTAM.
D38: Hours: Mon-Thu 0800-1700 (0700-1600), Fri 0800-1400 (0700-1300); and as activated by NOTAM.
D39: Hours: Mon-Thu 0800-1700 (0700-1600), Fri 0800-1400 (0700-1300); and as activated by NOTAM.
D40: Hours: Mon-Thu 0800-1700 (0700-1600), Fri 0800-1400 (0700-1300); and as activated by NOTAM.

That is very useful – thank you.
I got the info today from London Info but it’s a bad way to do it because half the UK is giving them their inside leg measurement

VFR routes have zero meaning in the UK. No idea why they still appear on the maps. That route passes through these DAs so it is doubly mysterious:

It appears on the 2022 1:500k chart also which shows the upper level of the DAs as 10k.

It will be interesting to know CAA logic regarding that “VFR route”? obviously, following it while Danger Area is active means the pilot will lose their pants as written in the small box…

Also not sure why they call it “VFR route” while the text in the small box says “irrespective of (VFR/IFR) flight rules”?

In France, following VFR routes in Danger Area guarantees “no danger”, the FIS tend to suggest these during low water crossings, obviously, crossing while active or not is not an issue
