VFR Norway / Lofoten late summer 2020

You may very well end up flying below 1000 ft with poor vis following the coastline, with few or no chance of getting inland

Sounds like all my flight lessons here in the Netherlands ;) Joking of course, I had almost no cancellations last July and August!

In principle I would have hoped that by taking my time and rather going for a hike on non-flying days, I could avoid marginal weather days for flying.

Neal’s Robin was grounded for months in “my” hangar, sitting there due to really trivial to diagnose issues but which nobody could diagnose. I think it spent a comparable time grounded as it spent in a flyable condition.

Maybe we are lucky here in the club as I had not seen any cancellations due to maintenance-related groundings of our Robins yet; it sure helps that Transal sits just a short hop away in Midden-Zeeland EHMZ!
