Visiting the Lake District park in the UK, which airports?

Not exactly PA28 country but there is a gyrocopter airfield (with bonus sheep) at Barrier.

Oxford (EGTK), United Kingdom

That has nothing in common with my trip: yellow color, blue sky, two seat, dry grass, cumulus clouds, even the sheeps will be inside ;)

Still that is really nice picture Rob, it did caught my eyes !

Depending where in the lakes you want to go, Kirkbride could be a good option. There’s also Cark in the south lakes. I’m very fond of Glassonby, but that may be a bit short.

Thanks Off_Field, will keep that list in mind when going over there when the weather is sunny in a microlight, motor-glider or a supercub

The Lake District trip today went to the rats (even a walk around the place would required min 1km visibility), so we planned Bristol instead but it was surely not a good day for rigid plans (filled full fuel in anticipation and dropped one pax ), I took-off from North Weald to Bristol cancelled mid-way, divert to Southend then cancelled and landed at North-Weald…
