I know I can refer to a user name using the @ sign e.g. @Aviathor.
How do I do the same if the user name contains a space e.g. @Airborn Again ?

Replace the spaces with underscores. I know it’s not terribly intuitive. In future we’ll probably disallow spaces in usernames.
So: @airborn_again [misspelt deliberately to avoid annoying airborne_again]…
