With these extreme temps here, the only option is to sneak out of bed before sunrise, trying not to wake your better half. Just after sunrise, temp on the ground was 25 C, and at 1500 ft 33 C.. For my local bimbling I use a 50% power setting, which in this case enabled me to keep the oil temp at 103 C

I collected my new plane… Thanks to Dan for giving me the RV bug.

Now I need to sell my other one (the yellow one in the background).

Nothing so exotic: went for a local flight to try a few holds on a VOR for the first time. There was quite a bit of wind and the first two weren’t great, but after that I think it went well.
