A fly-in in Jan/Feb 2015?

LOWI limits winter parking to oil billionaires.

I didn’t know I’m an oil billionaire, but I was able to park over the weekend during last winter. But only with one aircraft, of course.

Since you’re all nationalists:
Paris LFPN ?
Cannes LFMD ?
Propriano LFKO ?
Bordeaux LFCS ?
If -RA, then also good food and wine (like in most of your countries though)

Most (all?) IFR airports in or near the Alps nowadays have parking restrictions for small GA in place in winter. It’s a big shame, but the way it is. I would indeed choose a VFR airport like Zell.

Or LOGO with a Hotel at the runway!

I’ll sign up for Bordeaux! Should take me all of ten minutes to get there in the Lanc !

Airfield pickups, rental cars and nice hotels or B&B can be arranged. Don’t forget shopping in addition to aviation, culinary and wine culture.

For an airport hotel, we have Nuits Saint Georges (LFGZ), approx 3000ft grass strip.
It’s open to GA since this year.
Located at the heart of Burgundy’s most renown vineyards, it’s collocates with hotel Chateau de la Berchère, also a winery.
Dijon LFSD IFR and Beaune LFGF paved runways provide nearby alternates.

The Chateau is closed for renovation no?

LFGZ would get my vote!

Isn’t a grass runway in the rainy season a recipe for trouble?
