I think you cannot.
Personally I just type the bq. followed by the pasted-in text; it’s faster. Make sure there is a blank line before and after the bq… line and make sure the b is left-aligned.

I wonder how they will square that up with most of “old” southern Europe having abandoned Mode S, let alone ADS-B

You highlight the text and then touch it. It can be a bit hit and miss but usually works. I touch the right side which seems best.
