Any helicopter pilots on EuroGA?

At this age I better stick to what I know, but it sure look nice. Cheaper than IR and much more practical. Lots of nice turbine powered, single seat hombuilts, and of course this one:

My Dad is an helicopter instructor in the Paris area (LFPN, LFFQ, LFPL)
Send a PM if you want to know more.

Edit : check out a youtube channel called “Critical Angle”. Looks cool. My Dad is a fan of “Pilot Yellow”.

@carlmeek
Hangarage is easier to find for a Robinson (2 blades instead of 3).
@LeSving
I love that photo. Is the kit available in Europe?

What about landing – can you guys land on private private property or do you need a special permit ?

In France you may land a helicopter out of an urban area provided that the landowner agrees, and that the neighbours, if closer than 150m don’t complain.

In the UK you need landowner permission. Also restrictions to do with large groups of people.

I am sure that is the case for all private land, everywhere.

Germany has additional conditions IIRC.

I believe @pytlak is another heli pilot.

This comment wasn’t criticising you personally, but german aviation regulations and the impact it has on our aviation society.

And I’m not conflicted.

I hate it.

Enjoy life instead.
