Corfu LGKR monopoly extortion

I don‘t think that is possible.

It says 2000€ per movement of mandatory GAT fee.

Mainz (EDFZ) & Egelsbach (EDFE), Germany

I did OCR on it and a google translate comes up with this. Maybe a German speaker can confirm accuracy:

Entry from 2023-10-02
ICAO: LGKR (IOANNIS
KAPODISTRIAS, Greece)
Name: Michael
Contact…
Comments: Attention, since August 14, 23
Each private plane will charge €2000 per person
Movement for using the GAT (Mandatory)
calculated. In short 4000€ (plus 5 landings
/Handling…) land once and take off again,
regardless of the number of people. In the
NOTAM is written you have to have one
Contact dealer. On the price list of
FRAPORT Corfu cannot do these positions
?nd.

Does @petakas know about this?

Correct, except the plus 5 landings – there is no ‘5’ in the original text).

It also says that these fees are nowhere to be found on the Fraport price list.

In short: to fly to LGKR you need to budget landing, parking and handling fees PLUS EUR 4000 for use of the GAT.

Sounds really welcoming to me…. not.

It could also be fake, because even airliners won’t be paying that much.

Airline pax won’t use the GAT.

I think that is more expensive than London City airport…
Would the passengers of any smaller jet really pay that much? I’m talking about Citation Mustang, M2; Cirrus Jet.
Or do they have some special deal and that fee above only applies to C172 and PA28? :)

Perhaps the likes of Netjets will negotiate a large discount, but those of us without power are screwed!!

I did note in the latest email newsletter from AOPA Greece that they are discussing with Fraport to try and expand the GA ramp there though. Best of luck.
