Checking my TKS panels on ground the temps were 8 degrees on ground at 2000Ft 5 degrees C, to find out it takes much longer to prime after non use of about three months. It seems that summer dust tends to clog the laser holes although this is not visible. I keep things clean…but who knows? They are all fine now about 4 minutes running in de-ice mode….
I spent yesterday finishing the inspections (after rigging) on the glider club’s gliders, next step is doing the ARC.
I was hoping to fly the Auster to England today to get the permit done on that, but unfortunately I’m really not feeling 100% and had to apply the ‘IMSAFE’ ADM principles and ground myself. Shame because the weather would have been great for a cross country trip.
I did a final trip to Alderney before the winter closes in
