Daytime in Scotland is quite possibly due to deconfliction with military training activities that only take place in daylight.
It happened to me on P18 between RIBEL and ABEVI, i.e. somewhere just north of the Manchester CTA, on a Saturday morning. As any fule kno, wars don’t happen on the weekend :)
You say that – I was told over East Anglia that continuous climb wasn’t possible due to military traffic at about 0430 on Saturday morning. I would have fallen off my seat in shock if the cockpit were big enough!
