Good source for production stats in turboprop marketing

The PC12 has stolen a lot of the buys that would have gone to the King Air line, indicating that there is a big pent up demand for utility planes in this category. If there had been any other TP twin players with a modern product except Textron, the PC12 might not have sold quite as many as they have.

The Piaggio low sales numbers are just a pure fact of its high price. At $7 million it’s in the low midsize jet range, which is where most of those customers will go to buy. After all, although it’s got the performance of a jet, it isn’t a jet. And perception is everything in this price segment. That said, I actually think 230 sold P180’s should be considered a moderate success. For such an oddball, I think that’s good going.
