BTW you must have been above FL250 over Germany. Yesterday (Dec 21) there was a big telephone and radio failure within the Langen center, causing huge slot delays. We’ve seen 3 hours initial CTOT delays!! Ok it was subsequently reduced, but didn’t go down lower than about 1 hour

The French VFR charts do look a bit intimidating at first (although perhaps less so than NL), but this is one of the easiest VFR routes to and from the land of vin jaune and comté: DVR-CTL-LFHN, it’s really this complicated:
The AZBA corridors are no problem – just check the timetable the night before.
…and (hint!) if some kind person from Bellegarde would fire up Fox India deux to bring a few cases of Savagnin to Glenswinton, you need just one more waypoint: Humberside VRP Brigg.
