Make an adaptor plate and fit a Comant CI215 or perhaps a CI159C2 instead. Then get rid of the balun from the co-ax and terminate with a BNC instead of the ring terminals.

You will probably need to fit a new splitter to derive the separate glideslope signal as your current antenna has separate elements for these. This will depend on what nav receivers you have – the GTN and GNC from Garmin have the splitter built-in.

I think I have two VOR whiskers. Pretty sure of it in fact. They should thread in, or you could tap it.

New and old Nav/Com at the moment. IFD550 and KX155. IFD440 going in at the end of the year.

The broken antenna doesn’t really show up on VHF comms but you get a nice blind spot on the VOR or LOC, as described in the link in post #1.

If WilliamF can’t find his, I may still have the rod which came out of the brass bush shown in the above pic.
