IFR to Innsbruck and back (mostly in VMC)

Sunday, IFR LKKU-LOWI-LKKU. First time to Innsbruck, so the legal requirement is ceiling above 3 000.. a pretty reasonable requirement I would say…

Mondsee – a favorite “restplatz” on A1 highway

Thanks for sharing those pics! LOWI is such a lovely airfield, it is on my travelplans for 2014, too! I remember one day about 10 years ago that while flying as a regular pax out of LOWI with a DashQ8 we experienced an engine failure on the RH side engine, but with the aircraft already have been at a safe altitutde outbound to KTI … great experience anyway :) …
