I did notice on IOS7, that there is now an option to disable a 'Background App Refresh', which may be useful to pilots wanting to use WiFi / Cellular signals, but not have tons of stuff downloading ad-hoc in the background? I guess it would be a brave person who hooks up their iPad to their Sat Phone to try and just get the latest weather though - I don't suppose its that simple.
Mine didn't wipe any apps either. Not 100% keen on the interface, but SkyDemon and all others apps I have work fine.
