Why the N35 and P35 might be a sweet spot amongst Bonanzas

@boscomantico the P in the P35 famously stands for purrfect

That is a nice example but with the complexity of not being on the N reg. Am not sure how big the UK market is for GA in the context of Europe, but any aircraft for sale on the continent needs to be N reg to be worth bringing to the UK.

That plane CS-DGL is 1963!

Exterior looks nice.

In any case, that broker is confused about Bonanza models. This is a P, but in the AD, he calls it an A35 (which would be a 1949), whilst the title speaks about a 35 Bonanza, which would be 1947-1948,

Oh, and why say „Inquire“? Either he is ashamed about the price he or the seller wants to ask, or if he is not, and then why not mention it? We know airplanes aren‘t cheap…

One has to say though, a lot of airplanes seem to go through that broker‘s hands…

Preparing, priming, painting and balancing the ruddervators is highly specialised. These magnesium control surfaces corrode from the inside, and I suspect inexperienced shops might not know how to judge if they are airworthy, or how to paint them. You also have the wing bolts and the bathtub structure they sit in.

A newly painted P35 that has lived most of its life in Portugal (not Arizona), would definitely require a pre purchase by a knowledgeable engineer.

I fear that there is much to be said for going to the USA and buying an example that always lived in a dry state.

The P35 is for sale at EUR175k plus VAT, good luck/bon chance :)

Some dealers do that. I also hate it but some will never publish asking price. If you call, they are then trying to coax out of you how much you think it’s worth and add 20% or so.

Another reason used to be not to get shitstorms for “moon prices” as they are called. That is largely gone now though as all prices are moon prices really.

The nice old timer N35, still belonging to a forumite?, has now found a new home in Oxford, living it up in one of the climate controlled hangars for the heavy iron.

Good to see a forumite’s old N35, now under a new owner, getting the Hollywood (well YouTube) treatment

Just to bookmark the unmolested 1953 D35 D-3540 previously HB-EFG is now F-HIDG. Seems to have flown a couple of months ago.
