Skydemon Heat Maps

Skydemon has just been updated so you can produce heat maps of selections flights in your log, some of my FI/FE work in the attached example.. it’s quite a cool feature I think!

If you upload your SkyDemon logs to FlySto you can get heatmaps too, in addition to much more visualizations.

Nice but I’m not sure the people from that town left center, starting with ‘Little’ are too keen of the name being modified by this map.

FlySto has great highlights and insights.

Fun to look at. It looks like just one track is grey, with any subsequent tracks overlaid becoming coloured. Unfortunately my French flying predates Skydemon; I went to Croatia with a KR85 like a real aviator

There’s a similar thread on heatmaps of all Skydemon users.

frankly, it was about time SkyDemon did something. My experience with them is that they tend to be very self-satisfied and non-responding. The Heatmap is a fun feature, but as already mentioned, pales in comparison with FlySto and all it has to offer.

A typical restriction of Heatmap, on my iPad at least, is the zoom-out limitation, only showing part of the tracks… yes, one can pan about…

… and it doesn’t work on a PC! Which is a bit silly, because your computer interface is probably the best thing to analyse & research thing
