I wouldn’t expect any airport in Europe to allow you to drive your own car on the ramp.

Don’t bet on that :-)

Reminds me of a conversation at Sabadell LELL. Yes, one can drive to the plane but it does require paperwork to get an airport pass. But then I was also told there were a way to just ask for the once in a while case.

Looking around the types that frequent the field I can understand why there doesn’t seem to exist a need for driving the car to the plane. Most of the types used have just enough power to carry fuel and two adults. It’s purely training and recreational flying.

When I unloaded this baggage from the SR22 at a different airport I did a few looks. So it doesn’t seem to be very common to haul stuff in a light plane.

Frequent travels around Europe

Yup, one can also get funny looks for driving onto the airfield and loading the vehicle in the airplane:

A typical load, even without the oxygentank or toolbox …

The line guy at New Orleans Lakeside airport handed me the keys to a golf cart and said “drive carefully”. Interesting – I’d never driven one before!

EGBW / KPRC, United Kingdom

Found it, bought it.
