I prefer the flight director with synthetic vision. The FD the same thing more or less as HITS but the PFD is less cluttered.
For avoidance of any doubt and to counter stuff spread around in the background, the original subject of this thread was finally (well, hopefully finally) removed some weeks ago, after breaching one of the terms of his return (bulk mailing people). After all the dirt he spread around the place, purely gratutious outing of people, etc, I really don’t want any more hassle like this. I am sure he and his thousands of posts are welcome on PUF and COPA.
Noooo; Greece is easy to get to. Some of the highest turnouts we ever had were Mali Losinj 2014 and Brac 2016, both in Croatia and just 1 leg to any part of Greece. It is true that you can’t do these trips in a C150, but unless you live in say southern Germany, or get a lift in Kate’s TBM whose range is something like 2000nm to zero fuel, you can’t do Croatia as a day trip anyway, so it becomes a “make the stops interesting” type of trip.
@Aviathor, ummm…. you do socialise with other pilots? Other than being out-and-out techno geeks, I would say sexism is the second most defining characteristic….
As far as the fly-in in Greece is concerned, I would say getting there would involve flying many legs indeed unless they have the TB20 or Mooney range, paired with an iron bladder and/or very tolerant passengers.
Being the innocent country boy I am, I had to google Kate Beckinsale. This is what I found:
“Kate Beckinsale pokes fun at mystery man’s small pecker with cryptic tiny carrot snap”
I thought this was a pilot’s forum…
Given the context, I think Nobbi was looking for a fly-in with the legs What Timothy is looking for I really can’t guess
We will be doing a fly-in to a lovely Greek island in September and if you see legs anywhere it will be there (sunshine and warm water)
I see a new member has just joined up with a email. Life is never dull here on EuroGA, although I reckon she looked a lot better before all the holywood surgery I will try to start a conversation with her… she flies a TBM930.
