Did you have a prebuy done before your bought it?
If so, the examiner has questions to answer. I’m not suggesting suing them, but you should at least make it known to them what has happened. If nothing else it would give them a learning experience so that hopefully nobody else suffers from their same mistake again.
Whoever did the prebuy was exceptionally clueless for GA, and didn’t know what an AD is.
I wouldn’t suggest suing such a body, unless it is a company which charged for it.
The obvious target would be whoever did the signoffs for all those years.
