Couple of gotchas with Colmar LFGA:
- they want a customs declaration for ALL flights form outside France. Same for the outbound leg. There is a form which you can download here
- refueling is cheap (1.71 Euro) BUT if you need to pay with C/C you are limited to ATC times. Alternative is a BP card.
The city is lovely! There is a wonderful indoor market where you can buy all sorts of nice food. Perfect for brunching on sunday.
Do you make a coordinated plan re: overnight stay, dinner etc? I have a friend who lives there and could provide advice.
I usually stay at this hotel which really is a nicely designed business hotel within walking distance from the airport (taxi into town).
Has lots of rooms and very good value.
I hope the weather is OK. Would be really cool to mee the EuroGA gang. PS please don’t ask me about my Extra :-( (and feel free to find the DA40 wonderful !)

My plan is to depart 0900Z Saturday and it should take 2-3hrs. Leave Sunday early pm.
LFGA is 1hr PNR for non French traffic, IIRC.

There is a notice on the airport’s homepage and there must be a NOTAM.
The customs guys almost never show up, but you need to tell them when you’re coming in and out. My experience is that it is a pure paperwork thing, no worries in case of delay etc…
Weatherwise it seems to be feasible for me.
Shall I go hunting for a restaurant? Any preferences?
