Yep, a good 2 hours from Milazzo to Vulcano which seems to be the shortest route. Damn

Not even a tiny microlight strip. A pity. The Aeolian Islands have really come “en vogue” in the last few years, since they are still relatively unspoilt by mass tourism. I’d love to go myself (even if it is by boat), but it’s a long trip, either from Naples (mainland) or Milazzo or Palermo (Sicily).
Is it my imagination or did there used to be an airport on one of the Aeolian Islands – Panarea maybe, or Lipari…?
