Sicily - Palermo LICP - EuroGA 4-5 Sep 2021 fly-in

OK yes. Totally forgot… This is why ICAO codes should be used

LIER is also known as Oristano. Been there, as well as in Caglieri LIEE. Writeup.

LIER had no avgas despite having a new avgas pump and it was quite funny when I asked about it. Some kind of “local arrangement”.

LIEE had avgas ok. However the handling fees there went through the roof in recent years.

What is the avgas situation on Sicily? Very few people I know have been there. Has @boscomantico been there recently?

Avgas at Punta Raisi, Boccadifalco and Catania. Possibly also at Salemi. None at Comiso and Trapani. Plus it‘s available at Pantelleria, if you want to count that as belonging to Sicily.

Many thanks.

Punta Raisi googles to present-day Palermo LICJ which is a big airport.

The other Palermo airport is Boccadifalco LICP.

Catania is LICC.

Pantelleria (LICG) looks amazing. Just a little island. Has anyone been there?

Anyway this is pretty good

The problem is that official info tends to be useless, in some areas.

Pantelleria I’ve been there two summers ago with a PC-12. Small island I rented a scooter to visit. Some nice beach and a few interesting places to see in the island.

I will keep a note for Sicily for a EuroGA fly-in for May 2021.

Last time I was on Sicily only Boccadifalco LICP had 100LL but I can see on ForeFlight that LICJ has it now as well. Catania LICC never had 100LL.

At Catania LICC you can get 100LL from the club.

Can you get it officially i.e. if you can’t speak Italian?
