I will be headed northbound on the weekend of Aug 21st. Planning to do Roskilde and Læsø and then on to Norway (ENTO and ENKJ). But I could change my plans around and head to Malmø on the way up, and Læsø and Roskilde on the way back. I have actually never been to Malmø.
Let me know which date you’ll arrive and I’ll try to arrange for a welcoming committee (and give the airport a phone call in advance) :)
I’ve booked the “Grand Hotel Garden”, nights of 22nd and 23rd Aug.
If the Saturday (22nd) wx is bad at the UK end, but 21st is OK, I might fly out on the 21st and stay 3 nights. I will then have to find somewhere else to stay on the 21st.

@martin-esmi, can we expect parking on apron W to the SW of RWY 29/11 or somewhere else?
Is the comment in AIP “Arriving non commercial traffic with a take-off mass of 10 tonnes or less shall request transport between stand and terminal.” concerning transportation from Apron W to the terminal?
Not Martin but most likely could we arrange for parking at apron west or at the flying club (called hangar area).
The comment in AIP is regarding if you are parking at the terminal building. You then need to arrange for transport from the plane to the terminal. Suppose that arriving from England means that passport control must be performed and then there are no choice other go thru the terminal. I will coordinate with Martin and post information here.
There are sometimes long waiting for fuel if you park at the hangar area or apron west. Best would bee if you tell tower when arriving that you need avgas 100LL and ask if they can call the fuel-truck.

@Aviathor, will you arrive from France (within Schengen)? In that case if we’re able to arrange for parking at Apron W or the aero club you’ll be able to request taxi there directly, without entering the main building (=security). The only issue might be your late arrival, but we’ll check!

Is there any drawback to being parked around the terminal? I suppose that getting back airside may be easier there than at the flying club?
@Aviathor It’s actually the opposite. In the main terminal you have all the security and stuff, and you’ll be charged for parking. But we’re looking into the options, stay tuned :)
An update, Pontus have verified with the aero club and aero/GA shop and unfortunately it will be hard for you to park there, mostly in regards to accessing your aircraft when you leave. Due to the strange implementations of security at airports the fuel truck personell will have to pass a security check as well to get to rwy 11/29, so in that regard it’s better to park at the main apron as well.
So our suggestion is to ask the tower for parking when you arrive, don’t forget to ask for fuel as well. When you need to enter the terminal you’ll be escorted by security, you call them via radio on their freq (if you don’t find it, just post back and I’ll get it for you).
