Bute, tomorrow. Pub lunch.
Briefing note: decent WX forecast. Long wide smooth flat runway 09/27 with no obstacles. Birthplace of Scottish powered flight. Safetycom, north circuit. Ten minutes walk to pub with outside tables and good unpretentious food. No landing fee but donations accepted at the bar.
I stay very close to Oleron LFDP (long grass runway, avgas, no customs) until next Tuesday. If anyone wants to come, tell me.
Any interest in tomorrow i.e. Sunday 9th June?
N France?
Wx looks good on the day.
LFAT seems a “capitulation” but not if we get a good group.
I am interested.
I went to Le Tréport LFAE last Sunday.
Let’s do LFAT. Out of time for the Cherbourg PNR requirement (the maritime museum there is really great).
Alderney is nice but no good with recent rain (grass parking practically mandatory, unless just 2 planes coming and you ask them very nicely).
I can do LFAT. Can fly the Vagabond down to Waltham and then jump in the TB10 which has just returned to the UK.
Arrival planned at around 10:30 LT
Looks like 4-5 planes
Landed at 1045 LT
A nice meet up today at LFAT :-)
