Yes I will do the Brno trip another time, this summer.

This is the current picture and “currently” it is mostly to the south of the route, but it’s pretty marginal and one would have to keep well away from it

Also the stuff is forming out of thin air, with nothing on the radar or IR images until it pops up

Looking from the south it’s bit better so I’m flying in the morning.

Yep – having gone from Berlin to (near) Munich Wednesday evening/night, I concur.

Yoi can circumnavigate locally on a low level, which I did from EDDN southwards, but that’s not an option to go somewhere and no fun.
Took a good detour and familiarity with the region helped.

Even CAT adjusted quite a bit…

I canceled it as well. All weekend in Brno there will be local thunderstorms including today so it’s just not worth of taking risk.

Refreshing to be sure but it was a good idea to pick another weekend!

OVC006.
We are going to get some fish :)

At Elba LIRJ instead

Locman have a huge shop there – the biggest collection of the ETA7750 movement repackaged in admittedly quite nice €5000+ cases

Still, the Scilly Isles don’t really compare with Elba – unless you want instrument flying practice in OVC006

There seems to be a Socata meet-up at Thruxton EGHO on Sunday, 24th June.

If I come along, I might drive up… it’s probably quicker.

Anyone interested in Guernsey or Alderney Saturday 23rd June?
