Here are some of our highlights. More can be seen at the Polar Steps website.
Thanks again, everybody, for a great trip!
First, the pics of LIRJ Elba:
Mont Blanc
Then across Italy to LDSB Brač in Croatia:
A long flight south to LGST Sitia on Crete:
A chance for some air-to-air photography on the short hop to LGKP Karpathos:
LGKJ Kastelorizo, very close to Turkey:
Across Greece to LGIO Ioannina to refuel:
Then, after a night in France, a quick visit to EDMS Straubing to get my AP fixed:
What happened to your conventional airspeed indicator?
Replaced by the ESI-500.
Obviously, but why did you chuck it out? That cover plate doesn’t look too pretty…
Lovely photos Chris! Looks like you had a great time.
It’s nice to see Karen walking again Last photos I remember seeing from your trips, she was using a wheelchair.

I’m saving up for another Aspen…
These are very nice pictures. But I`m still waiting for the next video
The Bromptons are very handy, it is very pleasant to be able to move with them after a long flight, we will still buy the small suitcases on the front.
What is the endurance of your Bonanza with tip tanks? Is it TC or normally aspirated?
I file an endurance of 6:15 but that’s at high power (190 TAS). At economy speed (170) I’d get an hour longer.
It’s TN – turbo normalised – so it maintains sea level manifold pressure to the critical altitude, about 20,000 ft.

Some of the pics don’t show…? E.g. “At Straubing”
